(2020-2021) Completed Crisis Counselor Volunteer 30 hour online mental health training, learning reflective listening, collaborative problem-solving, and crisis management.

Volunteered 100+ hours of one-on-one crisis counseling after completing 30 hour training certification.

Mental health training is integral for volunteers at Crisis Text Line, empowering them with essential skills to effectively support individuals in crisis. The training focuses on understanding diverse mental health concerns, providing Crisis Counselors with techniques to manage emotions, promote positive practices, and offer evidence-based interventions. Beyond aiding others, the training has significant personal value, as two-thirds of volunteers apply the skills learned to enhance their own emotional well-being. It equips individuals to recognize and manage stress, anxiety, and depression, fostering resilience and emotional wellness through the development of coping skills and positive habits.

Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, providing access to free, 24/7 support via mediums people already use and trust. Text 741741 (also chat and what’s app).
